1. “Utilization of Coal Mine Methane at the Coal Mine named after A.F. Zasyadko”

The project’s purpose is the avoidance of methane emissions into the atmosphere at Leasing Company “Mine named after A.F. Zasyadko”, drained and recovered in the operating mine as well as methane produced by surface wells at Zasyadko Mine, is used to (i) produce electricity for mine works and the surplus is fed into the public grid thus reducing and avoiding methane emissions in the atmosphere; (ii) to replace heat currently produced by coal- and gas-fired boilers, including municipal boilers; and (iii) to produce gas for use as vehicle fuel.
